![]() You might enjoy this book if you liked One of Us is Lying or We Were Liars. The story takes places (mostly) in a boarding school and it is told from the point of view of one character. There is LBGTQ representation and lots of boarding school drama and murder to keep things interesting. The characters are compelling and complex. Going in I figured out the culprit but that didn’t diminish my enjoyment one bit, I really had a good time with this book. Because at Bates Academy, the truth is something you make…not something that happened.❞Įver since I read One of Us is Lying, I’ve been looking for another YA suspenseful read and this one fit the bill.
